Robert Daries contacted me by email this morning to close this position as it was "rolling over" and wanted to lock in the profit. TBT Long Position exited 44.38 from 38.77 entry. The ATR was 1.56 on the day before entry, so this is 3.60 R winner with a profit of $5,449 on this half-size position.
Robert has asked me to place his other half of his trade into his USO long position. So, I sized the trade and placed it just now. Here's what I did. $100,000 risk in the whole portfolio per month (10% of 1 million). 13 members = $7692 risk per member = divided into 2 ideas = $3846 risk for this half of his trade. Now divide $3846 risk by 2.21 average 11-day true range times 3 to arrive at a position size of 580 shares. This means Robert is risking $3846 on his entry at this time, but he is up $5000 on the first half of his trade in TBT - which is not being placed at risk - I'll be happy to walk everyone through this logic. The stop is therefore 6.63 pts down from the current price, which is a long way down.
